Spaghetti Dinner
• St. Dominic Parish Spaghetti Dinner is Feb. 12.
~ Begin ticket sales
~ Weekly prizes for top three sellers January 13 to February 2
~ this event is our big fund raiser for the year.
~ We would appreciate all families participating by selling tickets and/or helping with the dinner and games.
~More tickets can be picked up in the office. Students can turn in their sold raffle tickets and money and receive prizes for top sellers each week as explained on the prize sheet that was sent home last week.
~Proceeds will benefit St. Dominic School. Please call if you have questions
• Jammin' Jars for the Spaghetti Dinner.
• Start thinking of creative ways to decorate & fill jars.
• We have all shapes & sizes of plastic jars in the hallway by the front door. Anything (except live animals!) is acceptable for jar filler.
• Make them fancy or simple. The kids will love them -- especially if they are involved in the decorating. This is a popular game prize at the dinner so we need alot.
• Volunteer forms for the Spaghetti Dinner were sent home today also.(white) We need your help! This is a school event and its all on our shoulders, so please give generously of your time and talent

After School Pick Up
• • Please, please, please use extreme caution when you are dropping off or picking up your children at school.
•• Drop off and pick up on the correct side (west) of street, or you must walk them across the street.
••We have had too many close calls.
••Don't let the excuse of "running late" cause us to be in a hurry and accidently careless.
••Your children are precious to us, to

Tardies

V
Target Red Cards
~ Parents get their TARGET RED CARD and it is swiped just like a debit card from their bank acct (this is not a credit card).
~The customer gets an automatic 5% off their purchase and the school of their choice, being St Dominic, gets 1% of the purchase donation.
~Some parents and parishioners are already doing this because we have been receiving a check quarterly from Target.
~With the Holidays approaching and the spending that comes with that, now would be the perfect time for our parents to get on board.
~ Go to Target to get more info.

• Start collecting them from friends and relatives.

-
Please keep that area open.

After
School Dismissal
We ask that
you please PARK your
vehicle, in a parking
spot, along the curb closest
to the school building when
picking your child up from
school.
Please do
not stop in the street
and ask your child to walk
out to you.
Know that
we are looking out for the
safety of ALL students, (and
for the bumpers of your
vehicles).
Thank you
for being so prompt in
picking up your students!
All
families have done a great
job with this this year

Dress
Code Violations
Consequences
for Dress Code Violations have
changed!
Due to a huge increase in Dress
Code violations last school year, we
have made some changes to our Dress
Code consequences. the Dress Code
can also be found in your
student's agenda
Parent/Student handbook section, and
the consequences for having a Dress
Code violation. Each class has had
the changes explained to them in
detail. Parents, we ask that you
please support us in this policy.
Note, changes apply to students in grades
2 through 6 only.

Tardies
If your student is
coming home with tardy slips, please
come in and check our clock. It is
possible that your home or car clock
differs from ours. We are beginning
to have many, many tardies. Students
are to be at school no later than 8.
Promptness is a life long skill that
all of us need to help our young
students develop. If a student comes
after 8:05 they must stop in the
office and get a tardy slip.

For some time now,
Wal-Mart has limited us on the amount
of gift cards we can have per month
to about a third of what we
previously sold. This is beginning to
show on our bottom line.
On the other hand, Dillons has never
limited us on the amount. When you
shop at Dillons, please purchase
certificates from St. Dominic School.
Don't forget
to get your Dillons & Walmart
cards. Continue buying
them at the school office, parish
office, or after Mass.
